The Green Hallway is a space that wraps around The Lobby. It is also shown connected to the West Wing Living Quarters. It is not shown how it connects to The Exit Hallway, or how Danny enters the Green Hallway from the outside/Bedroom bathroom window.
It’s a space where we see a lot of “office” signs. A time clock, office doors, waste baskets, and dark corridors. Its existence is how we know Ullman’s office wouldn’t have a window.
The Green Hallway is the same color green as Room 237’s bathroom, Jack’s shirt in No.24, and the rail that wraps around The Games Room.
In No.18, as Wendy, Jack, Ullman, and Watson walk continuing their tour, Wendy mentions how the hotel feels like a ghost ship.
In No.38, we see Danny trike starting in The Green Hallway and running into The Grady Girls in a hallway near The West Wing Living Quarters.
In No.73, freed from the Living Quarters Bathroom, Danny has found himself in The Green Hallway to hide within an oven. Danny’s scream occurs here in No.78 (first seen in No.6).
Based on how much office signifiers it contains, the color, and what happens within it— it can be understood that The Green Hallway is a conceptual space for Danny always being around Jack’s work and what that means for him.
