Nature means two things, and it’s important to the film that things are viewed with both layers.
Nature means the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans or human creations.
But it ALSO means the basic or inherent features of something, especially when seen as characteristic of it.
In this regard, Nature both deals with the wilderness and the ‘unknown’ that encompasses that, as well as the known aspects of someone or something.
