Anger

Red in general represents Anger. Red is a color of rage and aggression, with bright vibrant red signifying fresh anger and dark saturated red representing rage long since occurred.

Within the American History narrative, Red has its place in both the literal flag but also the immense amounts of violence within the country’s history.

In terms of Domestic Violence, Red covers The Gold Room Bathroom where the plan is made for Jack to harm Danny, as well as the Red Hallway— where Wendy sees blood pour out of an elevator as Jack attempts to murder Danny within the Hedge Maze.
