Pastels & Saturated

Linked heavily within the “Vibrancy as Emotional Indicator”, the saturated and pastel versions of shades signify the level of whatever that color signifies.

With Blue it speaks to disappointment, sadness, and misery. During A Month Later, we see Wendy wear a pastel blue and yellow plaid robe over pajamas with snowflakes. During Tuesday, we see Wendy wear a saturated blue house dress and when asking Jack about dinner, is accosted for interrupting his work.

Within the same scene in A Month Later, we see Jack wear a pastel green shirt and within the same scene in Tuesday, Jack wears a saturated forest green shirt. Green can signify both lack of experience, jealousy, and naturalness in behavior. In this instance, it would be the third definition that applies to Green.
