We're all gonna have a real good time.

They are, in fact, not going to have a real good time.

Which is the point. The tone that opens the film is foreboding, so it makes sense that two scenes in is also going to carry themes of tense apprehension.

It also speaks to Dannys awareness and Wendy’s denial.

The question confronts Wendy’s earlier optimism. No.4 promises a good time, and No.15 imagines a good party in the Gold Room. No.83 shows what those promises have become: Halloran is dead, Danny is being hunted, and Wendy is discovering the violence beneath the hotel’s hospitality.
