Gendered Knowledge

Refers to the one-sided nature of showing one gender a set of information and leaving out the other set.

This works both ways: in No.14, Ullman asks Wendy and Jack if they can both drive cars. This speaks to how women weren’t always able to drive.

In No.15, Ullman tells Halloran he can take Wendy to tour the kitchen, but takes Jack to tour other parts of the hotel.

In No.66, Wendy discovers Jack has sabotaged the snowcat. You would have to be aware of the parts and the mechanisms of the snowcat in order to fix what he’d destroyed.
