The spaces shown around it are The Hedge Maze, and roughly the same spot of outside - whether we’re seeing Wendy and Danny run into The Hedge Maze (No.26), or have a snowball fight (No.33), or Halloran walking into The Hotel, or Jack chasing Danny into The Hedge Maze— this is all the same location.
It’s intriguing that the internal space of The Overlook is so vast and empty feeling, but the outside is treated as small, centrally located hub.
