Toy trucks, cars, and even a tank are seen, mostly around Wendy.
Toy trucks (the same Danny will play with in No.44) are seen on the kitchen table in No.29, a toy tank is seen in the nightstand of No.72, reflecting the army camouflage chair stationed outside.
It’s a realistic toy a child would be playing with, especially a boy in 1980, but it also speaks to how children will play with what they see adults doing. They mimic adult behavior.
We see Danny triking and Wendy walking around the hotel, playing with toys and trucks moving makes sense. We see violence, and Danny is around violence, eventually— will he not mimic it?
