Micro/Macro is my observation, as an artist and designer, of a recurring pattern in Kubrick’s visual language. A small detail, image, or action appears again at a larger scale or with deeper narrative significance. Much of Kubrick’s work is deliberately constructed, but creative instinct can also shape repetition without a creator consciously deciding every instance. This pattern could arise through planning, an aesthetic that comes naturally to him, or both. The observation concerns what the repetition communicates, while leaving the boundary between intention and instinct open.
