Characters: Doctor / Social Worker
Shown during one scene, Wendy brings in a Doctor (or a Social Worker), to inspect Danny. The scene mimics that of Jack and Ullman in that the men talk about cabin fever as a rationale behind a man murdering his family, here the Doctor tells us about how stress and “emotional factors” can influence a child’s health and behavior.
The Doctor/Social Worker’s presence is mainly here to show us that Danny’s care is important (at least to Wendy), that she’s got to have a house call, in the past Jack and Danny have had issues around Jack’s work, about how Jack drinks when he’s mad, and how Wendy’s optimism is loud and center.
The Doctor / Social Worker’s reaction to The Incident mimics Jack’s reaction to the Tragedy of 1970.
Styling, Clothing & Colors
The Doctor/Social Worker’s outfit is neutrals; tan jacket, brown turtleneck. Her necklace is a gold chain that’s significantly longer than Wendy’s.
