Domestic Abuse

If you view the film conceptually, it operates on a dual narrative. The microcosm is Domestic Abuse and what those dynamics look like and how they can play out. Unlike the Ghost Story or Cabin Fever narratives, the Domestic Abuse narrative is plentiful and plain. In its very structure, the film parallels the abuse cycle: the opening chapters are timeless and with each next chapter, the time lapses between them get shorter and shorter.
