The Maze is what I’ve called a ‘device’. It’s a collection of the most confusing things about this film because that confusion is why this film has been studied and analyzed ad infinitum. It’s why I’ve chosen this film as my use case. The Maze is the bridge between a real life experience and a constructed environment that communicates a point of view.
